Outdoor Season Review 2025
This year has been full of highs, near misses, and plenty of good bowls across all our teams.
A Team – Division 3
Our A Team put together a strong campaign in Division 3, finishing an impressive third. Promotion was right within reach, and it all came down to a nail-biting final day. Despite a brave effort in a tight match, we just fell short of climbing into Division 2. While it’s disappointing to miss out by such fine margins, the team has proved they can compete at the top end of the table, and that momentum will carry forward into next season.
B Team – Division 4
The B Team endured a tough year in Division 4, finishing bottom of the league. Results didn’t always reflect the effort and spirit shown, and many matches were closer than the scores suggested. On the positive side, the season gave valuable playing time to newer bowlers and built experience that will stand the team in good stead for the future. With lessons learned and fresh determination, there’s every chance of a stronger showing next year.
Midweek League
In the Midweek League, we enjoyed a steady run, finishing third. That’s a solid result in a competitive division and shows the depth of quality across our players, as many rotated in to contribute.
Overall
While promotion just slipped away for the A Team and the B Team had a learning year, the club as a whole has shown progress, spirit, and teamwork. With a strong foundation and plenty of experience gained, we’re already looking forward to building on this season and pushing for more success next year.
